A. Choosing your Kimono
To honor the Japanese culture, drop your dress, T-Shirt, jeans, pants, shirt, leggings or tank top. The Kimono is simply worn with underwear, the rest of your ready-to-wear should stay in your wardrobe.
You can then concentrate only on the choice of this one, that it is in the reasons (striped, floral, single color,...) as in the colors (often blue, white, and various shades of red).
Rest assured, the comfort remains excellent, the clothes in ceremony are very relaxed and with sizes which adapt to your morphology.
B. Important Accessories
A good Kimono or Yukata is not considered complete if it does not have the accessories and other elements of the outfit. Don't forget to equip yourself with your sandals called Japanese getas and a nice Obi that will serve as a belt.
The knot on this last one is very important, take it into account during your next trip to Japan! To make it simple, the complexity of the knot on your Obi belt will represent how expert you are on the subject.
If you really want to go into detail, you can opt for extra accessories on your Japanese Kimono:
Hair brooch, and earrings for women
Japanese Uchiwa fan
Japanese pendants with "dragon", "Maneki Neko" or "Fuji" design
